I am looking into a EJ with a GSR dash. It has a GSR ignition. The dude lost the key. How would I go about on getting a key? Thanks.

my guess is to take off the ignition and take it to a dealer to make a key? maybe there is a code on the ignition for the key? This is only what i would assume to do... gl man!

your going to have troubles, to get the key redone.. they are going to need the vin of the car they got the gsr ignition off of.. and registration..

How do you lose the only car key?,

IMHO get the guy to fix the problem... then buy it off him..

No problem, but if you do buy the car like that.. your asking for trouble... you want to buy a car hassle free.. does the car even work? "unless buying a shell"

Seriously don't waste your time, unless he gets the key for you

if you really want it, and he wont fix it you can buy a new ignition and subtract it from what you are paying for the car

it all depends on how bad you want it... you could buy a new ignition like sicilian said. part what you want and sell it in working condition.

You are going to buy a car from someone who is so irresponsible that they "lost" the only key to their car? Sounds like a bad idea to me.

You can get a new key, but like was already said you need the VIN of the integra it came out of and proof that you own it (registration). Without those two things you are SOL as far as getting another key.

Who the hell does something like put a new dash / ignition in their car and doesnt get copies of the one key they have made? Sounds like a complete dumb *** to me.

with the title/registration in hand, the key will cost 3 bucks at any honda dealership.
