Default electrical problems?

I compare my car to my mom's 96 accord lx vs my 96 HX Civic, many differences on the inside electrical especially. The roof dome light is dim and flickers, does not work when in middle position. Actually all my lights including head/tails are dimmer then most cars. For example the interior back lighting to the gauges is dim (I have adjusted the dimmer). The sound that happens when she turns off the car when the lights are on, it dings, this is not in the civic. I left my lights on for about 6 hrs because of that one. When it bleeps at you when you leave the key in the ignition and the dorr is open is not there. I left my car on for 20-30 min because of that one, not good. Is this normal for a HX civic to be missing these options?

96-00 civics should beep when you leave the lights on. My 98ex does. 'Course maybe thats only available on the ones with power windows/etc.

well your lights are dimm. do you a grounding prob. if you find it you'll fix it, and if there is no grounding prob. it's a fact that more ground does incress hp. and will make your lights brighter., go out on ebay and find one of those cheap grounding kits, it don't matter. hook it up and I garonteeeeee that it will make your lights brighter. and about the door dinger pull of the side lower panel, right there where the little switch is to sense if the door is open and make sure that it has a wire conneted to it, and go from there.
