Hey guys. I am having some trouble with the exhaust/header on my car and need some help please. The car is a 2000 civic si with a greddy 4-2-1 header and greddy evo 2 exhaust that connect directly together. (no catalytic converter) It has been a nightmare trying to find the correct gasket that fits between the header and exhaust. The header didn't come with a gasket. I have been searching everywhere for the correct gasket with no luck Right now, there is a donut gasket from autozone that I had to beat on with a hammer to make it fit. When I bolted the header back to the exhaust, the gasket didn't seat into the exhaust pipe and it smashed up making a poor seal. I guess a crappy gasket is better than no gasket though... Does anyone know where I could pick up the correct size gasket? Also, after unbolting the stock header, one of the bolts had pieces of threads from the hole all over it. There is only 8 of 9 bolts holding the greddy header on now. There is no threads for the 9th bolt to screw into. Has anyone ever ran into the same problem? Is the any way to fix this? The car is a daily driver and smelling exhaust everyday is getting a little old...

it seems that your not using a test pipe to bolt the header to your exhaust..since your not running a cat purchase a test pipe and install it in place of your cat, the flange on the test pipe allows the collector on your header to seal properly with the donut gasket..use the stock spring bolts also..

thanks for the info blk_eg... i'm not doubting what you just said but i am concerned if a test pipe would fit. i was under the car today and the header runs right up to the exhaust with no space to spare. i pretty much have to force the exhaust towards the back of the car in order to seat it against the header. the exhaust will not move any further towards the back of the car and i can't free up any space pushing on the header since there is 2 bolts holding it firmly in place. does anyone have any ideas?

too bad your not in california there is millions of gaskets at most of our exhaust shops. Maybe some pictures will help someone find you the gasket you need?

Heres a few pictures... This is biggest gap that I can get between the header and exhaust.. (practically no gap at all) ... I don't think a test pipe would fit....
