Civic EX? (valve cover problem need help asap!!!
My friends EX valve cover bolt snapped in half and the threaded part of the bolt is stuck in the head how do fix this?

if none of it is stcking out at all, then your going to have to drill it out then re tap it to the next bolt size bigger. going to have to be very careful doing this to the head, mission impossible ****. or take off the head and take down to be fixed

you don't have to drill it out, if its broken that means there isn't any pressure on the skrew, meaning it will be VERY easy to take out. if some of it is stiking out, just unskrew it with some pliers. if its in the hole, take a hammer and a little punch and tap it counter clockwise. it should be out in no time.

Same thing happened to me, heres what you do, get reverse drill bits and they will spin out. DO NOT usa an easy-out, they will snap and then you will be fucked. FYI it is a Court Martial-able offense for any military mechanic to have an easy-out in his or her toolbox, thats how crappy easy-outs are.
