Civic EX AT '98 - Injector not firing after engine rebuilt
Hi all!
I have a '98 Civic EX AT that has not been started in a year and half. It was running before.
During this time the engine was rebuilted and now the injectors are not firing.
I've made the following tests:
- Main relay is ok;
- 12V supply for injectors units is ok;
- ECU A9, A10, A22 and A23 pins ground are ok;
- ECU A11 and A24 12V are ok;
- CKP, TDC and CYP sensor on distributor are ok. The resistance measured was 370 ohm;
- I've checked the continuity on engine harness for CKP, TDC, CYP and injectors and all are ok;
- No CEL is on;
- Fuel pressure is ok;
- Injector units are ok;
The engine cranks but doesn't start. It seems the ECU is not sending the GND pulse to injectors. I've missed anything that I didn't checked or the problem is the ECU?
Cheers!

Sparks are firing? Use a noid light to confirm or disprove injector drive.
I think the ECU has "flood clear" logic which stops driving the injectors if the TPS says the throttle is wide open while cranking. So check TPS, also check all sensor plugs by wire color.

Check the engine harness ground found at the thermostat housing... make sure the mounting surface is clean and the bolt is tight on the ground terminal. It isn't a bad idea to make sure the thermostat housing is tight to the block as well.
