CIVIC EG-5 J-Spec, Advice how to H22A
Hey,
I've got a CIVIC EG-5 J-Spec and i want more power. My options was to go hybrid as my engin wont handle much boost and most likly blow. I had spacifcly the Prelude H22A engin. Can anyone PLEASE help me on information on how to do this conversion and wether its worth all the hastle. Consider that i can do all the work myself(close contacts in body, exhaust, engin etc).
Thanks please if you have usful tips email me... mbs_proboarder@hotmail.com as i do not come on this board much THANX HEAPS.

Well first of all its a nice choice of engine... try checking HCP website for all you need.
You will need to make coustom axels (don't buy Raxels they suck), coustom Mounts and use that Search button on the top right corner that helps in a million

Re: CIVIC EG-5 J-Spec, Advice how to H22A (SIKCVC)
there isnt really that much info on the swap in here
everyone just says get new mounts and axles
i can elaborate just a tad
i believe your passenger mount is cut off and a new one is welded to fit the h22
your center console gets cut open a tad more for the shift linkage to fit through
my bro used a chipped gsr ecu for a while, worked good
he also had trouble getting his 5th gen center console to cover the new shift linkage , but i have seen pics of it done more clean than his
also your stock half radiator on you civic is not big enough, it will boil
so yeah a full size radiator would be good

Radiator - A Del Sol VTEC DOHC B16 radiator will fit in your car and keep the motor cool and is the same size as your radiator in your car. But you will need a slim line fan
