Civic Del Sol safety information
Can't seem to find any crash rating / safety information anywhere on a sol. How well does this car handle collisions?

Mainly for my parents. Looking for a first car and found an extremely clean, fully stock '97 SI, and they dismissed it as being unsafe.

It's about as safe as any other Civic or subcompact. The '97 has driver and passenger airbags so it is comparable to newer cars in front end collisions. Like all other 'compacts' the biggest issue is side collisions and hungry full-sized trucks and SUVs whose driver don't see you. Not much you can do about that.
