Default CIVIC CLUSTER HELP

Hey ppl,

i have a honda civic dx and the cluster has no tach. i just bought a new cluster from the ex with a tach. i thought i was going to be able to plug and play but i noticed that there is an extra harness that i could connect (im guessing cause thats the one for the tach). does anyone what i could connect those extra wires too?

thanks a lot

Just plug in the two main clips and the SRS (yellow) and you'll be fine.

It works, trust me. The tach wire is already prewired in the harness.

Why do you need a JDM cluster with MPH? Why not just stick with a USDM?

hey thanks for the help.... now i have seem to have another problem.... i put in the cluster and i turned on the car, but as soon as i turn it on... it turns off.

i have no idea why, and i doubt that it has to do anything with the cluster.

any ideas?

It's your engine, not the cluster.

so yuor car won't run unless you step on the gas?

I don't see how that would have anything to do with the cluster...

Did it just start doing it when you changed the cluster?

how long has it been just sitting?

you might have bad gas if it's been a while

Also check your distributor cap to make sure it's clean
