Default civic climate control.. need answers help!

anyone know if a 99-00 climate control panel will work in a 96-98.. and is it direct plug in?

The unit will fit yes, but it won't work with the 96-98's controlls at all. The 99-00's use electronic controllers for the tempature selection, were as the 96-98's use a manual linkage to the tempature selector.

search better. but you need 99-00 dash, ac evaporator, heater core, and climate control. have fun

Why would you need the dash?

It fits fine with the 96-98, there is no need to get a 99-00 dash.

well.. i dont really have a/c cause my car was salvaged and it came w/o the compressor and all that.. i just wanted the 99-00 console cause it has a double slot for a receiver.. wanted to put like a dvd or navigation in =T
