bought this ek which is a 96 dx but it has power steering now the pressure line is just leaking like a beach. how i tell what line i need em1 has one option and the 99-00 dx have two options... any way to tell them apart?

Honda likes to use loads of different part numbers (could be a different manufacturer, slight update of a design, different material, etc. even) when other companies selling OE replacement type parts might use only one part number.

I've noticed that even parts that appear to be the same and function the same can have two different part numbers. For example, the front lip for the Si (standard) versus the optional one for the other coupes. Even with the same color selected, the Si one is listed as pricier. No idea why!

The DX hatch had optional power steering, but I'm not sure how common it was. So there's a chance it's (mostly) the stock set up, but I'm not 100% sure.

the civic is a 96 dx which did not come with power steering... now autozone has the same part number for 99-00 civic si and dx... but majestic have three different part numbers two for the dx and one for the si..

More than likely they're all "close enough" then. By that I mean there is likely some difference, but it's probably something small or insignificant and the parts are interchangeable.

should i bank on going with the si because of the dohc the line mite be a hair longer?
