Default civic with b18

ok so i did the swap finally into my 2000 civic it is equipted with a b18b1 and a type r transmission and every thing seems to run correctly. So i want to start modding it. Like for instance i was thinking of getting pulleys for some cheap horse power and it says like 10-15hp i think that is bs. Did anyone install them and if so did you feel a difference. and not to get side tracked but i want to do a turbo later on in life. What kinds of things do i need to do to the motor to get it ready for the forced induction?

If i were you i will start with,
1- AEM Fuel Rail.
2-Walbro Fuel Pump.
3-AEM Fuel Regulator.
4-Skunk2 Pro Series Intake manifold
5-68mm Throttle bodie.
6-Full Exhaust, start by putting a High Performance Cat, and then use 2 7/8 or 3 in exhaust pipe out to the back, don't forget the resonator and muffler barrel in the back.
7-ECU P28 chipped with Chrome software tuned with these items above on your car.
This should get you started for now until you are ready to put a turbo kit in your car, There will be other things to get but not till you are ready for turbo.
good luck.
Hope this was a good start for you.

I forgot, Don't put the pulleys, its waste of money. you will be lucky if you get 1-hp.....

thanks for the quick reply and thanks for that list of items to get but one question i did the exhaust mods already i have no resignator and 2.25 piping to a flow master 40series muffler. i thought that if anybody does turbo that they should do nothing that is going to create back pressure every thing should be free flowing.?

Yes that is true, but you can get the high performance Resonator that is free flow and still serve its purpose for turbo, and the exhaust remain all orignal with a nice tone, my friends said to me that my exhaust don't sound like a Honda it is smooth and it have a tone towards a Ford mustang when the car gets up and get going which they like, at idle you can not hear my car at all not even at the back its very quit, until you stump on it you here the vtec and blov.....

Good luck....

I would start by building up the bottom end and get it out of the way, Arp rod bolts would be a good idea considering that the ls rods use the same size bolts as the d rods (really weak), but if your considering some serious turbo setup = lots of hp i would probably get aftermarket rods and sleeves completely. but if your only shooting for around 250-300 hp your stock rods should be fine, the arp's are a must with stock rods though.
