They switched the coolant type used in 95, so unless you could find some R12 freon, you wouldn't be able to use the older setup unless converted to be compatible with R134.

The seals in the older system aren't compatible with the new freons. Other than that, I beleive they should fit; but I haven't personally tried it because it's much easier to just install the newer system.
