Default Civic 92-95 REVERSE LIGHT HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

Hi , im new to the forum, and as far as i can see it is TOPS!

Now, my Civic LSi (M reg) is pretty much factory standard apart from its air induction kit...

I am having trouble with my Reverse Lights. They DO NOT go on when i shift the gear into Reverse position ....I have checked the bulbs as well as ALL fuses.

What could it be? I have heard something about a "Reverse light switch attached to the gearbox"..... But i don't have the Haynes manual for the car so cannot locate it by myself.....i might be pulling something i shouldn't!!!!!!!!

So please Help, Your replies are much appreciated.

Thanks.

yeah, there is a plug on your transmission towards the front of the car for the reverse sensor. I believe its by the clutch slave cylinder, but i'd have to look. Make sure its plugged in. If not, get a multimeter or testlight, check the signal comming from the sensor, hope this helps

Get a test light and make sure you're getting power to the rear lights.
