Well this is why I think it’s the fan. When it was overheating last week I pull into a gas station the needle was all the way to the top. I open my hood and the fan wasn’t spinning I turn off the car water was coming gout of the reservoir tank all of the water that was in the radiator came out of the reservoir tank with lots of steam. Fan was not spinning I added water when I turn on the car the fan started spinning I notice sometimes when I turn it on and off the fan will start spinning trying to cool down the car

remove the connection at the fan switch on the thermostat housing, insert paper clip, turn key to "on".......fan should come on.

If it does, replace the switch on thermo housing, 22 or 24mm I believe.

^^ If the relay is working he should also hear a "click" right?

If your fan doesnt come on you can jump it like others have said to see if its working. If its not working, you would need to replace it of course.
