Default Civic with 5 lug question (Offset issue)???

I might be able to pick up some old school bbs rims that are 15x7 with a 42+ offset. Will these clear my brakes and fenders? I have a 2000 civic hatchback with jdm itr suspension (36mm). If anyoe knows that would be great.

all depends on spoke design. itr brakes w/ 15" wheels need clearance on the outer edge of the spoke. if you can get some pics of them, and pics of the backside of the wheel, then we could make an educated guess.

if they came off of a rx7, and my memory serves be about the braking clearance, they had plenty of room to play around in.. you should be fine.

They'll fit fine.

16" ITR is +50

15" is +43 IIRC.

incorrect. 15" is +50. they just may work, but without pics it is tough to tell. old school bbs have big shoulders, especially if they are 3 piece with the bolt design.

aside from spoke design, we have to remember that it is not all about offset. think about it this way. +50 on a 15x6 wheel is much different then say a 15x8. i have more experience then most fooling around with offsets on cars. currently i am running a 15x9, +12mm, and i am experimenting with a 18x10, with a ZERO offset.

just picked them up, fronts fit fine but the backs stick out maybe 5mm with my zero degrees of camber in the back. They will probably tuck if i cambered them a lil.
