Civic 1.4 Wont Start, Immob Issue?
Hi all.
So here is my problem
Ive got an S reg Honda Civic that isn't starting, it was driving fine then I pulled up and turned it off, got out of the car but then decided to reposition the car (bad parking) but when I tried to start it I got nothing
Ive done a few checks already..
Ignition: Good spark, Good battery
Fuel: Fuel pump priming with key on position II, fuel pressure to the filter, fuel pressure to the fuel rail, NO signal at the injectors?
The engine ran when easy-start was sprayed into the inlet manifold so 99.99% sure its not getting fuel to the cylinder.
My question...
Ive noticed since trying to start it that the green key light doesnt flash anymore, be it putting the key in, cranking, or taking the key out. I wondered whether this could be related as I remember the green key light used to flash in the past (only 2 or 3 flashes the car always started normally).
Another point to note is that my ignition barrel is pretty knackered, no physical damage on the outside but sometimes it can take a long time to get the key turned, sometimes it can take 10 wiggles to get it to the starting position! (it wouldn't make a very good getaway car)
Is the fact that there is no flashing green key light at all good or bad?
Does the immobiliser cut the signal to the fuel injectors or does it cut the fuel pump?
Any advice or information appreciated
Thanks

I can't really tell you anymore than that. I can tell you're in Europe or at least somewhere overseas. We didn't have the same equipment here (actually we didn't have any immobilizers on any '92 - '00 Civic here)
