city lighst install gone bad
I tried to install some city lights today and it did not go to well.
HGere is the story, everything wired up properly, running....tightened the headlights in, and now I have had to disconnect everything because the city lights and corners will not work.
At this point, corners work with signalling and hazards, but do not run when the headlights are on. Everything has been returned back to stock (candian version) and they still do not come on with the headlights.
I have checked all the fuses and they all seem to be fine.
Can anyone pinpoint my problem?
Thanks in advance for the help
PS I searched on this and found nothing...looks like I am the only one dumb enough to **** up citylights....
loweg

Re: city lighst install gone bad (loweg)
i dont know which wires u wired up, but all u need to do is tap in to the red(+) wire and the black(-) wires. now as far as not turning on, check the fuses, hell, if they look good just replace it anyway. check all your wiring, make sure the connections are connected right and that no bare wire is touch metal. if so, it will keep grounding out and will not work.
good luck!

Re: (loweg)
city lights? like Daytime Running Lights (DRL's??)...why would you have to hook them up? i have the same car as you and they came with them...then i pulled the fuse out because i didnt want them anymore.
so if you dont have them, your fuse is probably blown, or taken out...in which case get a new one

Re: (philosofy1)
whats the difference...? they are both just a light to light up the headlight housing neither produce much usable driving light and do the same thing..?
