Re: cigarette lighter keeps blowing
recently hooked up a radio? took dash apart or anything? its a grounded circuit, that means power is running straight to ground when u put the fuse in and blows it.

Re: cigarette lighter keeps blowing
If you keep blowing the cigar lighter fuse the problem is whatever you're plugging into the cigar lighter. Try plugging in a known good car charger and see if it blows. If not, then you know whatever it was that you plugged in the first time was the culprit.

well that dont seem right. the remote wire to the amp should be wired to an accesory wire on the radio harness that is juiced when the ignition key is turned on. the cig lighter has constant battery voltage. thatd mean your amp would be on all the time. hmm check out the amp maybe??

The lighter doesnt have constant battery voltage. Or else you could use the lighter without yhe keys.
The remote and memory of the stereo are both to the same wiring of the lighter
Correct me if im wrong

im pretty sure the 12v socket works without turning the ignition on. at least in my 90 si hatch it does. either way the remote should be wired to an accesory wire. when i installed my flipscreen the radio harness was seperate from the cig lighter. although they are wired together at some point cause they use the same circuit.

Re: cigarette lighter keeps blowing
my cigarette lighter only works when the car is on. still having the same problem so last thing i have to do is to check the wiring at the actual point where i wired in.
