Chipped P28
I did a search and didn't find what I needed. I still have this problem with the crower cam, I have tried everything on the dyno, and we can't figure it out. The shop says the ECU is holding the motor back. Now before I spend 600.00 on OBD1 injectors, plugs, and ECU... I would like to know if anyone with a D16Y8 has used a chipped P28, and would this fix the problem? Thanks again.

Re: Chipped P28 (SlowD)
I have a chipped p28 ecu in my 2000 cx with d16y8 swap, no problems with it...what is the problem you are having?
if it is really lagging in low rpm and then picks up around 5k, your vtec is probably set below the stock vtec point...
when i had the vtec point set below stock, it ran like ****...not sure if that is your problem though.

What's the problem?
If you have a SOHC Vtec motor, you don't need a chipped P28. They are for DOHC Vtec swaps.
