Chipped ecu question...
Well i had my ecu chipped and asked for my CEL Shiftlight to be on at 7200. This is for a D16. Well he programmed it that way. But for some reason it dont turn on till about 7600? I contacted him and he said my tach was off. Is this true? Im going by the readings on my JDM SiR cluster. Anyone have this issue before? Can mytach really be off? Is that possible?

Re: Chipped ecu question...
YES! in most cases the OEM tach is off, I use hondata s300 with a autometer stanalone shift light connected to a msd digital 6, and I set my shift point at various points say for example I set it at 8600rpm and my rev limit at 9000rpm, the light wont come on until the oem tach completely max at 9000rpm, and I still wont hit my limit.

Re: Chipped ecu question...
Well im wondering if 7200 is ok for a stock d16 with bolt on's. Atleast that was where my old cluster's redline began for my engine. So im curious to this.
