chip and tune ecu

Re: chip and tune ecu
that would depend on if you need it tuned, which would depend on what modifications you have done to your car, I mean even if you don't need it tuned it still may add hp but it probly won't be the cheapest way to add horse power... that is based on my small amount of knowledge on the subject

Re: chip and tune ecu
a chipped ecu will do nothing but may harm or may help a little unless it was properly tuned to your whole vehicle with the modifications you have done to the motor.

Re: chip and tune ecu
you definately need to get a tune done with those kind of mods. your A/F ratios have to be so far out that VTEC hits like a girl. what basemap did you use? i am assuming B16 since vtec is set for 6k?

GET A TUNE!!! when you mod things like air/ fuel ratio. you also mess withe the effectiveness of v-tec. if you want your car to be putting out the maximum power with all of your parts working as one then get it tuned! like that guy said your vtec prolly hits like a girl.

the only reason i know this who vtec hitting like a girl is because i did a built gsr swap with a b16 head and gsr cams on an ecu tuned for a stock jdm b16 and vtec was not impressive at all. once i go it tuned it screamed

Re: chip and tune ecu
ok looks like i gotta get it tuned asap.. ****, i been driving around with these mods for at least a year. i knew my car had more potential. So do i have to get it dynotuned or can i get a local shop to tune it without a dyno?

Re: chip and tune ecu
You definitely want to have it dyno-tuned. street tunes suck in comparison
