Default Cherry Bomb's Quiet ? ...

Pretty much I'm tired of my exhaust ("Hi-flow" cat, 2.25 piping & 5zigen Fireball) so i'm trying to find a resolution to this problem i'm having cause it's starting to drive me crazy. I read in a previous post awhile back that

you can use cherry bombs to quiet an exhaust, is this correct ?

I just wasn't a 100% sure because i was always under the impression that they made your car louder, I'm looking for a nice resonator to save my exhaust and I know cherry bombs are cheap so if you guys could just help me asap I'd definitely appreciate it, thanks ! - justin

(I'll most likely be getting the cherry bomb installed today if they truly do quiet your exhaust down... )

If you use it as a resonator (pre muffler) and not as a replacement for a muffler it will quiet down your existing exhaust.

that what im running on........stock exhaust put a 20 some inch glass pack. Its loud, but not ricy loud, which is why i like it. If its not loud enough, then go with a glasspack for the resonator as well.

using a cherry bomb inplace of resonator does indeed quiet your exhaust down, i don't know how, or why? but i know for a fact it does.

Well guys i'm fresh from the muffler shop with a big improvement in the right direction, I'm back in love with my exhaust system ... I ended going with an 18" resonator the shop had, not a cherry bomb ... 76.11 later i'm once again a happy man ... thanks to The Quality Muffler
