Hey, I figured out the cheapest way to get interior pieces oem black....
wal mart 99 cent primer,
the final result is almost identical to the new oem piece

I did the same thing when I had my DB8 Integra. I had to match the paint on the rear brake light housing because I changed the whole interior to ITR spec, and I forgot to find a brake light housing when I did it.

I just used a standard flat black paint that I think I got from Lowes or Home Depot. It turned out good and matched the interior perfect.

nope, no chips, it does mark easier then the stock plastic when i ran a key over it, but that can be fixed with another coat.

I also found out the 99 cent wal mart paint works better then the exspensive primer b/c the duplicolor primer gives it a more chalky look and feel

there is a clear coat at any art supply store that sill make that top coat even stronger. so if you do throw keys at them they wont scratch. they have them in crystal clear and matte finnish. good luck.

I started to do a black interior swap on my DC. I got the rear pieces on still have the tan speaker parts. To really test it out ill paint the speaker parts this weekend that way you can see it right next to an OEM piece and you can see how close it is.

^That they do. My buddy used it on his pillars pieces for his Evo.

Your paint is gonna chip if you don't sand the plastic first. Believe me, I did it and keys/fingernails would chip it. Then I sanded everything and redid it. It was my whole dash on my Accord; It sucked.

wait until it lifts in 2 weeks, that paint is ****
you made a bad decision on cheaping out, Should of used VHT vinyl and plastic dye/paint wich is actually intended to adhere to plastic and other materials of that sort.

I just sprayed my speaker covers today. When you look at it when sitting in the back you dont notice it. But im real picky and I can still see that its alot more "tanish" then the OEM black.

Thats 2 coats of black primer and 2 coats clear. What you guys think. Leave it or try to find the oems?

*The only thing I painted was the cover, not the panel*Panel is OEM

That does look pretty brown...

Try the black bumper paint - its also meant for plastic.
