Default check this out

think about this before your motorswap:

those online stores (i won't mention any names) claim their motors only have 30k-50k miles on them. i HEAR that (polution) law in japan isn't so restrictive anymore... so, i met an interesting person today. the person claimed, there is only 1 shipping port the united states pick up motors from overseas (your JDM motors). and that you cannot find an engine under 60k. just something to think about. who knows...

And your point is ? Its all hear say, I only order my engines from hmotorsonline, I tell all my customers to oder from them to, I know I am always getting a good working engine. And the last 5 engines I got from him, all had about 220 across the board for compression.

As long as the head is clean, the compression is good, and theres no hole in the block i would think its ok.

Dont forget though, some of the motors are from 95 and such when they had there hard polution laws, so you could still get a motor with 30 to 50k on it.

Ok so 1 port, that still don't mean they come from the same place. The engine can be from anywhere. If your trying to say hmotors and osaka motors get the same selection of engines, your wrong. And like I said before, order from a reputable site ( hmotorsonline ) you have nothing to worry about.

Just because all the motors end up in the same port doesnt mean they all come from the same junkyards/dealerships/sellers.

And how is his company allowed to look at other companies motors and clips when they're crated. Unless he's part of customs and he visually inspects every crate.

true... it's just something to think about... that's all. might want to ask somebody who does not want to make a sale.

My customers ask me how many miles these engines have on them, I always tell them it says around 35,000 miles on the site, but in all honestly its probably a little more. But as long as the engine is strong and healthy, who really cares about miles.

what i meant by that is that everybody picks up their **** from the same spot. for example, i'm the only person distributing crack on the block. you can only purchase crack from me sorta thing.

If you want to think of it that way, then you are the only dealer on the block, but you yourself are being supplied crack by 1000 different dealers.

that was a bad example. i was trying to point out that YOU are the only person who is cooking and distributing. you can sell either grade A or grade B at the same price. if the people don't know the difference, why not right? i'll put it like this... if you can't actually see the car intact with the odometer reading. i guess it has under 40k mileage. i mean how do we know right? at least he was honest.
