Check engine light on swap??
Car runs fine, but late tonight it threw a light. It's a 94 EX w/ a B18c1 swapped. I can't get it to throw a code due to the external wire near the ECU having a 3 prong style vs. the 2 prong that is easy to bypass. I've never delt w/ the 3 prong style(not prong, but inverted)only the 2.
The engine is supposed to be real close to the 60,000 mile mark. I'm wondering if due to the lack of a maitenace required light that it might throw a check engine light??? I'm not sure and don't want to wait a week to take it to the Honda/Acura dealership and dump 60 clams...
Oh ya, recently advanced timing to 17.5-18 degree's.
Thanks

Do you have ecu pin outs? That 3 wire is the data link connector. You need to jump the other one by it. All ecm's are equipped with it.
