Check engine light not blinking with paper clip?
I just got my b16a swap in yesterday and the peskyt check engine light keeps coming on. I tried to diagnose it with a scanner today at work (honda) but it says it cant communicate. I figured that was ok cause it is jdm and prolly wouldnt. so i cam e home and tried to jump it with a paper clip (the blue conenctor with 2 pins) and instead of my check engine light blinking i am getting my srs to blink and my check engine light to come on steady? wtf does that mean? BTW it is a jdm motor with the ecu that came with it. I am totally lost i dont knwo what to do now?!?!?! PLEASE HELP!!!! anybody ever run into this or know how to fix it?

Re: Check engine light not blinking with paper clip? (FifthGearOnline)
my check engine light and SRS light came on months ago and when i tried to check it with the paper clip, nothing blinked. everything seems fine so far. its been like 4 or more months since that happened. ifthe ecu was bad, then would it still even work?

Re: Check engine light not blinking with paper clip? (deviant1)
does anyone know where i can get an ecu to work with the motor? This one i am running came with the motor when i got it. I think it is out of a jap spec del sol because a timing belt and water pump didnt fit from a 2000 civic si. If i can get a known good ecu than i can swap em and check real quick. Is it possible to chip the new ecu? If so would it give me any more power? BTW the motor is in a 94 civic ex. the car seems to run fine other than the check light. i dont understand why it wont blink though?!?!?!? anyone have a pcm for a b16a or one for a b16a that is chipped for more power??? Thanks for all your posts.
