Default check engine light with no code????

my engine light comes on after it warms up and stays on. i jumped the little plug, turned on the ign, and the engine light just stays on forever, no blinking. what the hell ?

Whatever you're using to jump the connector isn't jammed in there deep enough. The connector isn't properly jumped.

no, because when i connect it, it turns on, when i unplug it, it turns off.

it ended up beign my vtec coolant sensor. problem fixed! still dont know why it didnt flash though....

you need to jump the wires with the car on when ever you get the check engine light it will give youa code this is if you have an obdI ecu

When it doesn't blink (no code), that usually means a bad ECU.

what is a vtec coolant sensor? vtec works on oil pressure.
