Check Engine light: Misfire
Hey guys i did some looking, but i didnt really find anything maybe you can help me out. I have a 2000 SI and i have installed a Greddy turbo kit. It is an older kit with the pre tuned blue box, not the e-manage. thats really all i have don except for some exhaust and suspension. Anyways the car runs good but gets bad gas mileage and the check engine light is always on. I finally got around to pulling them and i get codes 70,71,7273, a baro sensor code and random misfire code (i forgot what number the last 2 codes were). It idles real rough and kind of low but other than that runs fine. i get bad mileage with it, even when i drive like a grandma.
I recently saw in the new Project car magazine, that this company called Synapse eng. makes a product called the missing link that installs on your map sensor and limits the amount of boost seen by the ECU. could this solve my problem? its only 70 bucks so i wouldnt loose much if i ordered it and it didnt work but does anyone have experience with this? sorry for the Long winded post, just wanted to be descriptive thanks for yout time ans help!
Cliff Notes. I get a check engine light for misfire on all four cylnders, random misfire, and baro sensor. was wondering how i could resolve this, maybe with the new Missing Link product. EM1 with a greddy turbo kit.

Try this in the Forced induction forum. Ask you of the tuners like Jeff@Tempest he works for Joe Simpson in MD one of the best tuners in the east

theres the thread for all the codes since u said u couldnt remember which the last 2 were. all the codes in the 70s are misfire codes..how did this happen anyway did u take the dizzy off or sumthing for head studs? make sure u didnt accidently get the firing code for a d series dizzy also they arent the same as a b series

no, i didnt touch anything as far as timing or dizzy, it just throws the codes for some reason. like i said, it runs great, but i get the misfire codes. when the codes go away it runs noticeably better, a little smoother, but its definetly NOT misfiring i know what it is and what it feels like. i talked to some guys a long time ago about the kit and they said every greddy kit they have installed throws the baro code for some reason.
