check engine light ..::help::..
i just finished my gsr swap today into my ex coupe. it was my first swap and i did things a lil "amateur"y. driving home i got a check engine light (imma get it diagnosed tommorrow but right now i wanna hear what u guys think) it comes on when i hit vtec or any time i open the throttle hard.
a couple things i did during the swap that might cause it?:
i took the o2 sensor off the cat to remove the engine,
my wiring harness is half 95 civic ex and half 95 gsr,
i didnt have a big enough clamp for my intake so its kinda loose at the t body,
i lost a lil rubber thing for my intake that plugged a hole so theres basically a hole in my intake,
the oil pressure sending unit broke so i used the one on the civic engine.
this was my first swap and i expected something like this to happen, any help would be great. thanks

Re: check engine light ..::help::.. (whitericeEG)
you need to check the code that its throwing...
there is a blue plug under your dashboard on your passenger side...once you find it...turn your car to the "on" position...then open up a paper clip and stick the paper clip ends in the ends of the plug (completing the circuit)...then the check engine light will blink...
long blink = 10
short blink = 1
IE... long long long long short = 41...get it?
then check the code(codes) against this chart: http://www.crxworld.de/ecucodes.html
PS: remember...your car can throw more than one code at once...so pay attention to the blinks
