Check engine light help!
I had a code 10 (IAT), so I replaced the iat sensor, let the negative battery cable off of the battery for 10 minutes and started the car up. Check engine light does not come on...great....but I wanted to just check. So I turned the car off and then I turned the car to the on postion and put the jumper wire in to check for codes. Now the CEL stays on constantly while the jumper is in and goes off when I take the jumper out. What is causing this? Thanks
Alex

Re: Check engine light help! (alexb16hb)
if there are no codes stored in the ECU then when you jump the connector the light will stay on ... you do not have a problem
