check engine light???????
Hey guys, today i was beating the car and bout round like 100mph the check engine light came on for some reason car still ran ok though any ideas why ? First tiem this has happened.

check and tell us... mine did the same with my d series, i never checked it. if u turn the ignition off then back on it will go away untill u take it to 100 again

It was probably VTEC oil pressure. Mine did it a couple times within a few days...then stopped doing it. I'm guessing a bad oil pump (i'm running a D15B7 non-vtec bottom end with a D16Z6 head)

well apparently i learned recently that I didn't pull the oil control jet out of the black of the block...so not only is my VTEC not activating but I was throwing that code as well...the head is coming off sunday and that damn oil jet out...so maybe that will solve your problems. You didn't forget to pull the oil jet out of the back of the block did you?

my mini me came with the car. ( i dont think the previous owner pulled the oil jet) my engine never let off that distinct "vtec" sound. the engine just slowly got louder.

hey guys i replaced the o2 sensor and the light hasn't come on prob somethign simple i;m guessing i ripped it to 100 and no light all is good
