Check Engine Light on 1993 si hatch (EG Civic)
check engine light comes on certain times when I start it up (and stays on) and other times it does not.. now I know that I should run the codes from the ECU, but I wondered if anyone would give me a heads up on possibilities.. many have told me the o2 senser could be goin' out..
When the light is on, nothing seems wrong with the car, not spit/sputtering, loss of power, etc.. so I'm just curious
THANX

Take a paper clip and jump the harness under the glove compartment.
It will take you more time to find the paper clip then to get the code and know exactly what is wrong

You'll have to get under the glove compartment and take a look. Right in the corner of the glove compartment closest to the door you'll see 2 harnesses that are in a rubber holder. I believe the plug is green. It's pretty small. Just plug one end of the paper clip in 1 of the holes and the other side in the number 2 hole of the harness.

Yes, it will blink the Check Engine light to give you a code.

Go to C-speedracing.com for a list of what the codes mean.
I believe that is the site address
