check engine light
just did a b20 in a eg and it runs fine except that the check engine light is on... i was told to stick a paper clip into my ecu and listen for beeps... does anyone know what that is suppose to do?

Under the dash on the passanger side there will be two loose connectors, one 2pin and the other is a 3 pin. Jump the 2 terminals of the 2 pin with a paperclip or wire and turn the ignition to the ON position. The CEL will blink to indicate the diagnostic trouble code. Long flashes = 10 short = 1 so for example one long flash followed by 2 short is 12. If there is multiple DTC stored there will be a pause between the seperate codes.
