Default Check Engine Help

I have a stock 96 Civic LX, and I recently added one of those little chips that connects to the IAT wires and changes the fuel richness. That little thing made my spark plugs misfire, and I took it off later that day. However, I still recieve the "Check Engine" light on my dash. All the wires are in their original locations, and I reset my ECU by pulling the fuse. What now? I can't think of anything else to do.

When I pull the fuse, do I need to disconnect the battery as well?

Thanks for your help. I had unplugged the engine for a few minutes as well as the fuse for a few on its own, and nothing happened except my keyless entry now works. However, overnight solved it. Thanks for the advice. =D

BTW how long do I have to be a noob? 5 posts a day is bad.

heres a easier way.............. take the positive cable of the cars harness off the battery and connect it to the ground side of the battery for 10 secs. This runs all the power out of the car and resets the ecu in no time!
