The "performance" stuff is sometimes very generic and will work worse than your stock stuff. The stock plugs were NGK. Buy the part number in your manual and gap it according to your manual. Honda iginition is also very good. No need to upgrade..and sometimes the upgrade is a downgrade. The battery starts the car.
Unless you have nitrous, turbo, or big compression, stay with the OEM stuff. Cant lose.
It should be changed as part of a maintainence schedule to keep your car running well. You wont see a HP increase if you buy them before you actually need them.
Your car might go faster because your wallet is lighter, though.

Plug wires and ignition components can take up to 600whp reliably on our cars. Batteries don't come in "performance" varieties - either they're good batteries that hold charges or they don't. Spark plugs aren't performance oriented either. The different metals and gapping are for particular applications, and changing out your OEM plugs for 12-tipped, Platinum-Uranium-Nuclear fission core bling blang blao! plugs isn't going to do ****.
Save your money for boost.

Right, the only time there is any need to upgrade spark plugs or anything of that nature is when you have a FI set-up or a pretty crazy all motor set-up.
Even then as Archidictus said, unless you are making over 600whp, there is no need to "upgrade". When doing a FI or nitrous application the only thing i would recommend doing is switching to a 1 or 2 step colder plug. Hondas come factory with NGK plugs at heat range 6...NGK also offers the heat range 7 or 8 which is ideal for FI.

ya man your not gonna see a difference at all. even with my turbo set up I got better plugs because they were out of NGKs and not one thing changed.. you might think so because you have power in mind though! placebo effect is a strong thing in Hondas
