cheap homemeade intake system? 1998 dx
howdy - so .. my civic was broken into the other night and my crappy knockoff brand short ram that i replaced the stolen stock part with, was stolen (haha jokes on them, you couldn't give that pos away!). so i need to replace. i was considering just making my own; or trying to find another cheap replacement.
any suggestions for making my own intake?
also, anyone know where, in the seattle area, i can find a cheap replacement for the intake? last time, i spent $60 on it; i'm hoping to find one for even cheaper than that.
thanks for your help, and if the person who stole my **** is reading this, then **** you!

I suggest getting another short ram arm, using it with your stock airbox and a K&N air filter. BauleyCivic runs this setup and he likes it quite a bit. Also, check ebay..you can find an intake for CHEAP on there.
EDIT: There is a link on here somewhere to a teamdelsol site (or something like that) about making an intake. Somebody throw it up for this gentelman.

ive been wanting to do that sri and stock box intake thing for a long time now...just cant get the ***** to hack up my akimoto (especially if i dont like it)
its almost the same as the spoon arm idea...i might even run some ducting down into the fender area or somewhere to make a cheap ice box
