Charge Light Stays ON
The Charge Light on the dashboard stays on even after car has been started. I have a 96 Civic Sedan with a B18C1.
I'll start from the beginning.
While i was driving home from school, my alternator blew. I went to auto zone and replaced my alternator. I was followed up by a CEL 20 after installing the alternator. After much help from RONJ i fixed that problem which i found out there was a resistor as a light bulb for my Charge Light. I replaced that and i also replaced the alternator and just to make sure i replaced the battery.
I've checked the voltage on the Alternator and the Battery and i've gone to Autozone and Advance Auto and had them run a test on my car. Both places passed saying battery and alternator were good. I've done a few tests from the honda service manual and it's leading to saying i have a bad alternator. I removed my HID's meanwhile the problem is fixed. Nothing else is added on my car except an aftermarket radio. Stock speakers and everything else.
You guys have anymore ideas? Heres a link to my old thread if anyone cares.

Re: Charge Light Stays ON
I did all 3 of these and passed all the tests. I ended up at the bottom of each list asking me to try a good ECU, and on the first one to see alt test 4.

Damn how could you get a new alternator and it be bad? Or did you change it to another random one you had laying around? It just seems weird that you changed it and it has the same problem again. Have you used a multimeter to check the voltage coming out of the alternator power port? It should have about 14V when the car is running and whatever your battery voltage is when the car is off.
