Changing timing belt RIGHT NOW. URGENT help!!!!
It's 2:40 AM and we are trying to get the 17mm crankshaft bolt off.
I'm using the impact gun to take it off but it woudn't move! Does it get loose counter clockwise like a regular bolt or does it go reverse?
Everything is off... if we can't take this bolt off, we gotta put everything together.

oh, yeah.. we went out and came back about an hour ago.
It's D16Y8.
This is the picture we are working on. We are using the impack gun bacause we don't have the special tool,50mm holder.

Where can I buy this tool on Sunday morning 3:04 AM? 
I know about this tool but I was sure my electric impact wrensh could handle it. I guess I'm wrong. I just searched and found few topics. I think we need a stronger wrench.

take flywheel dust cover off (next to oilpan on tranny side) and stick a large screw driver in it. it will wegde the flywheel, crank and prevent your crank pully and bolt from spinning. good luck its not reversed threaded...normal threads (loose by counter clockwise)

When I did mine on the GSR the motor was out of the car. We cranked the compressor up really HIGH and my father held the pulley in place using a bar and leverage. It came loose, but that was after trying several things prior. It was a bitch!

we had the same problem on my friend hatch...we ended up, heating up the bolt..seems to work, we got it off...good luck mang

That can be risky. A MAP torch heats things up very fast. That kind of heat can damage the bearing if your not careful.
Best way - crank pulley wrench + breaker bar. I like to wedge the pulley wrench against the ground, and stomp the breaker bar with my foot while sitting on the ground.

easiest and safest way is jambing a open ended wrench between flywheel teeth and the tranny casing. Do so in the starter location or the flywheel inspection cover.
When stopping the flywheel on the outer diameter, exerts a LOT less torque because of the increased diameter, making it that much safe and easier to hold.
Done this MANY a times...never had a problem. JUst did last weekend on my broither's old 88 Integra which never had the pulley bolt off before ...took about 2 minutes

the special tool does absolutly nothing beside lock the crank fom spinning. try heating it up. i tried for to days with heat nad a 6 foot breakker bar and nothing then i got an impact gun and nothing then i heated it and hit it with the impact gun and it cam e right off
