Default Changing thermostat?

My sis has a 98 civic ex and the prob is everytime she turned on the ac, and drive it around for like atleast 10 miles the temp goes up.. My suspect will be a faulty thermostat and it's not opening, i think.. Do you think it's the thermostat? If it is how hard it to replace a new one? I have no experience changing a thermostat, so a Step by step procedure will be nice. Thanks guys..

If its only for the A/C, it does NOT sound like the thermostat. I would make sure the A/C fan is turning on first.

I think it would be something other than a thermostat. A thermostat either works all the time or not at all I don't think the A/C would have any effect on it.
