Default Changing the PS belt and the alternator belt

Is it easy to change the power steering belt and the alternator belts on the D series engines??? My belts are starting to squeel and i think they need to be changed. How long does it take to change these out and also can one person do them?

thanks

Replacing these belts are very simply. It will take approximately 2 to 3 hours if with Helms manual.

You'll have to unbolt the lower engine mount to change the belts.

When I say 2-3 hours, that includes the whole job. Meaning:

1. Prep
2. Install
3. "Pee break"
4. Clean up

If just replacing the belt, and not including the above mentioned, then yes, expect approximately 20-30min. However, being married, one has to think in terms of: Start to finish.
