this is what i know.
Rule # 1 rear drums are a bitch.
edit: no they're not.
Most people have problem getting the hub off, i'm past that stage.
i don't have any hands on exp. on this replacing pads.
Would appretiate if someone can chime in.

IF you dont have any experience then please dont try..
It is not that easy esp if you have not had previous experience.
but if you want to know then your best bet is to do a search on leading-trailing drum brakes on the net and check to see how others did it. you might find one for a honda.. but the hardest part is to install the spring that holds the shoes together on the top

I'm pretty knowledgable with cars,
I just need to know the steps, i know the the basic, take the springs out, take the pads out, install new pads, install the springs.
the question arises, how....
do i need to undo those threads to losen the top spring? how do i get the lower spring out ?
i will snap a pic in the morning.
thanks.

adjust the top down so that the shoes are closer together (it looks like the wheel cylinder isn't even touching the one on the right side) once they are closer it will be easier to get the top spring off. Just pull the top spring out of the right side shoe. It will not be easy unless you have a special brake spring tool, but it can be done with regular pliars. Once the top spring is off the other springs can be removed (the ones in the center of the shoe).

it's hard to tell from that pic, but usually it's a pin with a circlip on the end. Use a set od pliars (or a flat head screwdriver) to pop the clip off of the pin and push it through.

yeah the clip should be fine. Is the clip "C" shaped? If it is, it should pop off (with some effort) and can be reused. If it's not "C" shaped then maybe you have to remove a bolt from the back that's holding the e-brake assembly together. Then pull out the shoe (still attached) and see if there's an easy way of removing the pin.

Re: changing pads---sheoes in the rear brake (nonsense)
ok you first remove the 2 items listed here
then you remove the center spring with the strut
then the pads will open up after that you will have access to the back of the shoe where the e-brake line is from there its not that hard..that C-clip you will need to remove it and when you buy new shoes it should come with a new one.
The hardest part is to put things together. That strut has to be within a certian distance to fit the drum when you put it back on. so it will be a trial and error. Also by looking I noticed that the drum lining was missing on one side and it must of eaten up your drum. if you can try to get it turned. You got any questions please PM Me.

Re: changing pads---sheoes in the rear brake (BatuKing)
go buy the $15.00 Haynes manual for the car and follow the instructions.
As for the pin you are trying to get out remove the clip and it will pull apart.
Buy a rebuild kit for your brakes it has all the hardware included and will replace the old stuff ie:springs,clip,washers,etc...
the new brake shoes may require you to install new pins through the shoe make sure you put them in from the correct side, also some shoes have a longer pad in the rear for the e-brake.

Its was just that i didn't had any hands on exp. with it.
I finished the other side in only 10 minutes timed.
why buy a rebuild kit, when all the car needs is $10 new sheos.

Don't mean to jack this thread, but I just had a quick question. I was just putting my rear drums back together, and my wheel cylinder started leaking and then it just came apart altogether. Do i need to just buy a new wheel cyclinder?

So all the liquid that came out was only brake fluid? Or is it some sort of grease?
