Changing out tranny and waterpump, easier to just take whole engine out??
I have to replace the waterpump and tranny on my 92 Civic DX. I was wondering if it would just be easier to take out the entire engine with tranny to replace both. I believe you would have to take the engine mount on the driver side out to replace the WP, not sure though.
Can someone direct me on what I should do for the easier/faster way to do it? Also, before I get crazy, do I even have to take the engine mount out to replace the waterpump or can I work around it?
Thanks for any info you can give me

depending on your knowledge on mechanics, i found it easier to remove the motor. i just pulled my motor/trans combo to do a timing belt. call me crazy but i can pull the whole thing in 1.5 hours, in my driveway with hand tools. oh yeah its a b18a in a 92 hatch. a few months ago i swapped out my ls trans for a gsr and it took me 4hours, i will never work on a motor in the car anymore
