Default changing oil

how much bottles do you guys use for a 97 sohc non v motor.? is it 3 or 4 bottles of oil

the general concensus on D-series motors is about 4 quarts. people will tell you anything from 3.3qts to 4qts. best thing is to fill about 3qts, let it sit, wipe the dipstick, dip it and see where she sits (level ground of coarse) fill to proper level on dipstick. run the car a few minutes, let it sit for a few, and recheck, add as needed

i used 4.5qt to fill my d16.. the parts store should be able to tell you what you need..
