Changing Head Hasket
I'm getting ready to change my head gasket hopefully to solve my car getting hot problem
Anyways
I was wondering if anyone has a write up for the process or have any tips or tricks on changing head gasket?
What all needs to be taken off?
Tools needed?
Tricks and Tips?
Thing to look out for?
Thanks

Re: Changing Head Hasket (buzlink)
Well, if you really need them, start by draining the block of coolant. Then loosen the outer headbolts first [distributor and cam gear(s) sides] and work yourself toward the middle (small increment steps). Check the block and head for warpage using a metal straight edge(they should be perfectly straight). When you put the head back on, tighten from the center out using a torque wrench. I've done this a million times with nothing but success. Let me know how things go
