Default changing/extending IAT connector

whats up guys! I'm wanting to get my IAT sensor correct.....

96 civic cx, OBD1 B18B swap, original CX harness

the IAT sensor is just hanging at the moment because i need to change the connector, and extend the wiring. I have the new connector, and I think I already have my answer but I just want some feed back.

Is there any way to get the wires backward? Being a thermistor it just changes resistance with temperature so I dont think so but any one know?

the old connector red/yellow black/green
the new connector red/ yellow blue/green (not sure what it component it was for)

left side (blue/green) is ground
right side (red/yellow) is voltage/signal

top pin (blue/green) is ground
bottom pin (red/yellow) is voltage/signal

OR some people do this:
