Changed Fuel Filter...Now Car Won't Start
After I changed it, I start up the car and it worked fine. I warmed it up for about 5 min, checked to see if there was any leaks, and then I shut it off. Couple hours later, I try to start up my car to go to work and my car won't even start. Anyone know what I did wrong? I'm guessing it's my battery since I havn't changed it for a couple years. I tried jump starting it but the car still won't start. Help...

check ur lights and other elec. things to find out if the battery is ok..could be an alternator but u didnt mention anything about the car not turning over..could have been some junk coming loose and getting clog d in the fuel line too

the lights and radio turns on. How would I know if it's the alternator? Do you really think that there's junk in the fuel line? How can I check for that?

can you hear the fuel pump go on? does your car crank? or does it just click when you try to start it?
Also, to check your battery or your alternator you have to have you rcar running.
Then when its running disconnect the battery(+)only and see if its still running. If its still running that means your alternator is still good cause the alternator is keeping the car on. If it turns off, you need a new alternator cause the battery is just keeping the car on.

what do you mean when it cranks? When I try to start it, it doesn't start. No clicking or anything. I can hear the fuel pump go on. I really need to get it fixed soon. Thanks.

well if the lights/radio come on his battery is ok... If it's not your alternator, pop the hood try to start it and go around and smell for gas anywhere in the engine bay, if you can smell anything you're still getting gas... so idk what to say...

Here:
Turn key on listen for fuel pump.....turn key off.....turn key on listen for fuel pump.....you have no pressure in the lines since you emptied them and need to keep doing this for 3-4 times.
