A 20 lb weight reduction in a car is not much.

my vis c/f hood oem style weights about 11lbs.</TD></TR></TABLE>
I have a VIS OEM hood myself and the quality is great but its a lot heavier than it needs to be. The Spoon CF hood weighs like 8 pounds.
All is not lost though Remove the center part of the fiberglass support layer under the hood and you shed at least 2 extra pounds without significantly reducing the strength. Don't remove it all though. just the center.

And it's 20 pounds hanging above the front wheels.
Add a light hood, small battery and/or relocate it to the rear,
and you've changed the weight bias significantly.

Re: (Eee Pee)
Yea, 20lbs isnt much but after all these slight weight recustions everything adds up.
There are 2 company's that are making oem fenders and bumpers in CF soon, and i am highly anticipating that because it should bring alot of weight off the front.
