CF hood Question
 

K, my friend is wondering if under alot of heat his CF hood is going to warp? because he is running a SOHC turbo setup and the manifold seems to give off a TONNE of heat, like way more then a non-turbo engine obviously, he is just worried about if it will warp, and if it will, what can he do to prevent it from getting so hot? ie. wrap around the manifold etc. Thanks

CF shouldnt warp. Mine doesnt and its a DOHC turbo set up. But seriously why would carbon fiber warp?

no problems here either.. boosted w/ cf hood..

only thing to watch out for is some cf hoods rub slightly on wastegates..

make sure to buy a good brand of cf hood. same here, boosted with cf hood and no problems. if he's worried about heat problems, buy an aftermarket radiator and fan.

2 years and no warp on mine.

never heard of a cf hood warping.
