Default ceramic vs metallic honeycomb cat...anyone?

Does anyone know the differences or advantages or disadvantages when comparing these two designs? Like does one clean the exhaust better than the other, etc? I have been getting mixed/contradicting opinions.

I have metalic honeycomb and the CEL for the cat is always on (I'm still obd2) if that will bug you then keep it in consideration.
