Default ceramic or stainless

I am looking into getting a header for my next mod and i have been discussing getting either the ceramic or the stainless with my friends. I want a 4-1 because they offer more high end power but they only offer it in the ceramic which i have read that it tends to flake and break down after a couple yrs.

Or i could go with the 4-2-1 stainless for roughly 100$ more, i know that the stainless probably last longer but i was wondering what u guys think of the ceramics and the stainless any input is welcome thanx guys

I've owned 3 ceramic headers from DC. I have NEVER heard of one flaking...Sounds like stories people have been telling you. Maybe some cheap knock-off brand chips, but not DC. Stainless looks nicer, but you have to clean/polish if you want to keep a clean look, otherwise they discolor with useage.

Stainless, if you need to cut/drill/weld on the header, it wont rust.

Go with the stainless steel header, haven't heard anyting bad about them. The jdm type-r header (stainless steel) is a good choice if you got the cash
He has an 01 EX...that wouldn't work.

my friend had a ceramic header and it cracked after a couple years of hard driving. My next header is going to be S.S.!

assuming that the 4-1 achieves more top end power, what set up should one go with who is looking for better low/midrange performance? ceramic or stainless? one-piece or two piece? 4-1 or 4-2-1? does it really make a difference? i was also considering a dc. is this a good choice? i'm starting to second guess myself...

Do what makes you happy for the money. They are both good if they are from DC Sports.
